          • Only the remnant will be saved.

Salvation is God’s grace and gift that is given to all those that believe in the Lord, through Jesus’ crucifixion. But today, Apostle Paul quotes Isaiah and says that of all the people that believe, only the ‘remnant’ will be saved.
            The ‘remnant’...
Noah who obeyed God and built an ark, and his family,
Lot who stayed righteous during God’s judgement upon Sodom and Gomorrah...
Hence, the ‘remnant’ refers to those who believe Jesus is Christ, receive Him, and rely on God and keep their faith through trials and tribulations and have victory of faith.

            God saves such people.
So what should we do in order to become the ‘remnant’? How do we ought to live?
Let us reflect on our faith through today’s scripture.

            Passage: Romans 9:25~33

25 As he says in Hosea: “I will call them ‘my people’ who are not my people; and I will call her ‘my loved one’ who is not my loved one,”
26 and, “In the very place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ there they will be called ‘children of the living God.’”
27 Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: “Though the number of the Israelites be like the sand by the sea, only the remnant will be saved.
28 For the Lord will carry out his sentence on earth with speed and finality.”

            1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
            2. What is God’s message to you?
            3. What do you need to obey?
            4. What are you grateful for today?
            5. How will you apply the Word today?
