Satan will try and break the relationship we have with God no matter what the method, the moment we accept Jesus into our heart, and make him Lord of our life.
Satan will try to block us from worshipping God, and prevent us from relying solely on Him in times of trials and hardships.
However, admist these tribulations, hardships and misery, to those who live by being strengthened by His love, God allows them to experience the grace of being victorious over these trials.
The love that did not spare His son but gave him up is a love that cannot be separated from us. And in everything we do, this love - the glorious God has for us - strengthens us to be victorious.

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword
36 As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
