          • People who are indebted to God’s grace

Paul says we are ‘people who are indebted’ to God’s grace.
This debt is the price of sin.
God sent His one and only son, Jesus, to die on the cross, for us who had no choice but to die from sin. Hence he has paid all the prices of our sin, and led us to the path of eternal life.

This is why we, as ‘indebted people’, need to live for God, who has paid our debts for us.
An appropriate life to live is a life which God wants us to lead, not one where we do as our body wants.

Am I ‘someone who is indebted to God’s grace’? Then who do I need to live for today? I hope you meditate on today’s word deeply.

            Passage: Romans 8:12-17

12 Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it.
13 For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.
14 For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.
