God wants us to rely only on Him.
Resting in their mother’s arms is all a child needs to be content. A crying child finds peace and rest in their mother’s arms.
But as the child grows and becomes an adult, their mother is not enough for them.
They need this and that, and when the child becomes an adult, they live to get and to become what they desire. And they want to become greater than others.
There is no rest in the life of a child that has become an adult. It’s filled with fear and worry.
I hope to have a soul of a weaned child and so today, I set my eyes on the Lord and put my hope only on Him..
Passage: Psalm 130:1~131:3
1 My heart is not proud, Lord, my eyes are not haughty; I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me.
2 But I have calmed and quieted myself, I am like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child I am content.
3 Israel, put your hope in the Lord both now and forevermore.
