Jesus became a model of sacrificial love.
He who had no sin made the greatest sacrifice of all, giving his life to save us sinners. We have received a gift of eternal life through the grace of the love of Jesus’ cross.
Now that we have received a new life, what can we sacrifice and give for others?
Jesus said to us, “love your neighbours as I have loved you.”
“Love your neighbours as yourself.”
I pray and seek what I can do for my neighbours in distress.
Passage: Matthew: 27:45~56
45 From noon until three in the afternoon darkness came over all the land.
46 About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” (which means “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”).
50 And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit.
