          • What is a big church?
Regardless of how large a church is or how many members it has, there are 3 specific events that need to occur in order for it to be considered a big church. Let's again review what it is that we need to focus on.
First, the number of those being baptised must increase. The church must be a place where the lost are saved, souls are born, grow and transition into the spiritual family and this needs to continue for the church to be energised. Many churches today are spiritually infertile. Such churches eventually lose their vitality and grow old. If our church also does not have the saving of the lost and baptism occurring, it will eventually lose vitality and grow old.
Second, we must be overflowing with testimonies every week. I am grateful for the various testimonies that have been continuing at our services. Testimonies about salvation, baptism, life studies, multiplication, about our lives, etc... In the case of the All Nations Worship (ANW) service, all members of the church have been taking turns every week to give their testimony (My Story). Having testimonies is proof that the church is alive. Testimonies are community confessions where we can weep and laugh together as we share the emotions, joys, sorrow, pain and weaknesses that we experience while living according to the word of God. Testimonies are not about boasting, but rather, a time to exalt God by confessing our own weakness. If we want to constantly be overflowing with testimonies, it is important that we aren’t burdened by doing testimonies but we are able to testify with joy.
The third is positive and active dedications. In order to change and grow as a Christian, we must make positive and active commitments to confront our weaknesses, scars, and sins. For example, a person who constantly complains with his lips should not just stop complaining, but devote his lips to saying good things and blessing others. Knowing a lot doesn't change a person. Making a commitment to try to change even one word leads to real change. This is why we have a time of commitment at the end of Sunday Worship service. As more and more people listen to the Word and try to live a life making positive changes, the church becomes energised and the church becomes happier.
