Following the ministers’ online seminar for Road to Happiness
The ministers’ online seminar for Road to Happiness was held with fifteen participants from Korea, Australia and Indonesia, and it ended in God’s grace. I had heard through word of mouth how good veteran relational evangelist Pastor Oh Myunggyo’s Road to Happiness was, and he had promised to visit us here in Australia to open up a Road to Happiness class, but it became impossible due to COVID-19. We were just about to start a class with materials Pastor Yoon had obtained through a past conference when the seminar became available online.
First, the seminar made me feel that if a Road to Happiness class became available, our mokjangs would regain passion for soul salvation. Road to Happiness is based on relational evangelism in which we meet people who are non-believers, listen to their stories, and find a way to share the gospel with them. This class would help the church turn into a soul saving church, and help mokjangs that are currently stagnant regain their passion for saving lost souls. I believe the class would also assist churches that are learning about house churches and trying to start one.
Secondly, I felt the church and mokjangs would experience restoration. The contents of Road to Happiness deal with emotional problems, relationships, communication, empathy, depression, humiliation, pain, forgiveness etc. of the modern day people, and it naturally leads to spiritual problems, introduces the gospel, and leads people to mokjangs. The content is easy enough for lay people to teach, and the instructor and student alike will receive help in how to become happier. If the mokjang leader were to teach the class, listening, communicating, empathizing will naturally take place in the mokjkang and the instructor and student alike will be able to discover their sensitive and difficult problems that may have been difficult to pinpoint, and thus experience restoration and healing. I hope that starting with the 1st Road to Happiness class starting this coming week, the whole congregation will eventually gain restoration and healing, and experience soul salvation.
This week’s message: Many people have started Life Bible classes the second half of the year. I hope all mokjangs can participate in a Bible class.
