          • Safety protocols for COVID-19

It’s a blessing to be able to worship together at church. Unfortunately, as we expect a second wave of COVID-19, the state government has issued several new restriction policies. From 24th July, the number of people allowed in religious gatherings is limited to 100. Cafes and restaurants are restricted to a maximum of ten people. Communal singing is banned, meaning praise and worship at church will be banned. The following are the safety protocols we are to follow. Let us all pray together so that we can continue to worship together.

            1. If you have a fever, cough, throat pain, or any flu-like symptoms, please do not come to church or mokjang gatherings but be tested for COVID-19. (at Westmead hospital, Blacktown hospital, and other public hospitals)
            2. Please ensure you wear your mask to church and continue wearing it during praise and worship. The worship team members must also wear their masks off the stage.
            3. Please write your name, wear your mask, and practice social distancing, and follow arrow signs for directions.
            4. Only 2 people are to sit per pew. Families can sit together.
            5. After service, please ensure you leave at least 30 minutes before the next service. Please do not stay standing in the lounge next to the entrance. Please keep 1.5 meters distance when entering and exiting the church hall.
            6. Do not shake hands when greeting. Wear your masks and maintain your distance when talking with others.
            7. Everyone will have different temperatures. 36.5 to 37.6 is considered normal. Anyone with a temperature above this will not be allowed to enter. If your temperature is 37.5 but you feel you have a fever, please do not come to church.
            8. After service, persons in charge of cleaning must wipe and sanitize.
            9. Senior members 70 years or older are advised to stay home and worship online.
            10. Communal praise is banned during service. The worship team and will lead but the congregation must keep their masks on and not sing. (same applies to Sunday School). Praise and worship team members must stand three meters apart when singing.

            This week’s message
It’s important to not only be touched by the Sunday sermon but to make a conscious decision to put into action what you have learned, and the commitment time at the end of service helps us do this. When you make a commitment each week, you will find yourself gradually changing for the better.
