          • Let us not miss our chance.

We are experiencing a difficult time now with COVID-19. International students and working holiday visa holders have lost jobs, medical staff are exposed to the virus, and some are suffering mentally. One thing we can be grateful for is that there is help being provided.
Despite suffering losses in sales, there are restaurants providing free food for international students and working holiday visa holders that have lost jobs. There are also organizations providing accommodation to those who have nowhere to go and some people are making lunchboxes for their neighbours. Regardless of how big or small the kind gestures are, those who are going out of their way to help those in need will surely be remembered long after the pandemic ends.
I believe there is a time for everything and now is a time for the church and Christians to ensure we do what we need to do. We must pray but we must also put into action what we ought to do. It’s not only financial help we need to give but looking after those in need, remembering and encouraging them with love is also important.
Our love and service team at church is also serving those with love where it’s needed, step by step. We have set basic guidelines to follow in our service for others as it can be difficult to determine how far we ought to go.
And I am also grateful that we are continuing to help our mokjang families behind the scenes. Mokjang leaders should be discussing with their mokjang members who they can help and how. COVID-19 will definitely end, and what we have done in these times of suffering will be beautifully remembered.

            This week’s message
The missions committee will be supporting all our mokjang missionaries in addition to the monthly offerings. Please ask the mission team leader for your mokjang’s mission support.
