Although Job’s previous friends tormented him by pointing out his sins in order to find the cause of Job’s sufferings, Elihu says that if Job prays in times of hardship, God will surely open a way of salvation and will restore all things back to normal.
God’s interest is not at condemning sinners but at restoring the lives of those who are in pain and agony by bringing salvation to them and leading them in love, to the light of life.
When we are in hard times, God’s love rescues us from the deep pit and it shines His light of life to us to restore us. I hope that we can focus on this deep love and hear His voice.
Passage to read: Job 33:14-33
26 then that person can pray to God and find favor with him, they will see God’s face and shout for joy; he will restore them to full well-being.
27 And they will go to others and say, ‘I have sinned, I have perverted what is right, but I did not get what I deserved.
28 God has delivered me from going down to the pit, and I shall live to enjoy the light of life.’
