Aaron and his sons, that is, the priests, had to wash their hands and feet at the basin before making a sacrifice or entering the tabernacle, in order to live. The basin symbolised washing away anything dirty and becoming clean, and it was made of bronze mirror offered by women.
We examine ourselves in the mirror every day. We must also examine our souls in the mirror every moment to ensure we can wash away our dirty sins and to live a clean life.
Passage: Exodus 38:1-20
8 They made the bronze basin and its bronze stand from the mirrors of the women who served at the entrance to the tent of meeting.
