When his enemies fled or the wicked who tormented him perished, David gave thanks and praised God who made it happen.
Like this, there are conditions worthy of gratitude when we end up giving thanks.
Our God is not one who tells us to say ‘thank you’ without providing a reason.
He sets out enough conditions to be grateful for, and in response, says, 'give thanks.'
Even today, God gives us conditions to be grateful for through his grace.
I hope will be able to respond to that grace with gratitude.
Passage to read: Psalms 9:1-10
3 My enemies turn back; they stumble and perish before you.
4 For you have upheld my right and my cause, sitting enthroned as the righteous judge.
5 You have rebuked the nations and destroyed the wicked; you have blotted out their name for ever and ever.
6 Endless ruin has overtaken my enemies, you have uprooted their cities; even the memory of them has perished.
