A desperate, life-threatening danger approached the Israelites.
In front of them was the Red Sea blocking their way, and behind them was the soldiers of Egypt chasing them.
However God commands them to continue forward.
Moses obeyed the word of the Lord and stretched out his hand over the sea with his staff in his hand.
Moses had firm faith that God's plan and promise would definitely be fulfilled, and He knew that God was someone on 'his side', who would go ahead of the Israelites and fight the enemies for them.
God is on 'my side'.
When we believe in the word of the Lord, who is on our side, and obey Him, God will fight for us and work for us.
'God who is on my side'
'Thank you for being on my side'
Passage: Exodus 14:15-31
23 The Egyptians pursued them, and all Pharaoh’s horses and chariots and horsemen followed them into the sea.
24 During the last watch of the night the Lord looked down from the pillar of fire and cloud at the Egyptian army and threw it into confusion.
25 He jammed the wheels of their chariots so that they had difficulty driving. And the Egyptians said, “Let’s get away from the Israelites! The Lordis fighting for them against Egypt.”
