            Moses who prayed in faith.

Moses was used as a vessel by God to save his fellow Israelites from slavery which had been going on for 400 years in Egypt. The Israelites were able to experience God’s work of salvation through Moses. However, the joy and thanksgiving heart from the salvation experience was short-lived. They were confronted with the great tribulation of the Red Sea. They knew if they were to cross the sea they were going to drown to death and if they were to go back, the Egyptian army were going to kill them.

However, at that time Moses boldly approaches the Israelites and encourages them by instilling faith in them. Through that, the Israelites are able to overcome the big tribulation of the Red sea.

What do you think allowed Moses to cross the Red sea?
            1. Moses spoke about God with great faith and trust. Moses would not have been able to raise his staff and separate the Red Sea if he too, did not have great faith and trust in God’s words himself.
            2. Moses cried out to God. When the Israelites were resenting God and blaming the leader for their tribulations, Moses ‘cried out to God.’

The faith- filled prayers we pray will be certainly answered by God. However, in order to pray like this we must first know God’s will correctly.

I hope we will be able to believe in God’s words that is given to us, trusting and crying out to God until the promised words of God gets fulfilled.

            Passage to read: Exodus 14:10-15
13 Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again.
14 The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
15 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on.
