I remember from a daily devotional the words of Jesus who overcame the world, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)
The power to overcome the world comes from our ‘faith’ in Jesus Christ.
We may face suffering and tribulation in this world. It can happen to anyone.
But those who are in Christ and are filled with the Spirit can find peace in the midst of adversity, because Jesus has already overcome.
Remain in Jesus and be strong in the name of Jesus Christ.
The Lord is with us.
Passage: 1 John 5:1-12
4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.
5 Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
