People with the Qualifications to enter God’s Kingdom
Peter tells the people who have received faith as a gift from God to become like Jesus and gain the qualifications to enter God’s eternal Kingdom.
He tells them put in efforts of devotion to build goodness above faith, then knowledge and self-control, then perseverance and godliness, then mutual affection and love.
Has our character, which has received the grace of forgiveness of sins through the cross of Jesus, attained the ‘qualification to enter God’s Kingdom’?
If not, I hope you seek to be ‘filled with the Holy Spirit’.
‘Lord please fill me with the Holy Spirit today, so that I can embrace the heart of Jesus.’
Passage: 2 Peter 1:1-11
3 His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge;
