The reason Israel is suffering is not because God doesn’t have the power to save them or because He isn’t listening to their prayers. It’s because the Israelites are blocked from God because of their severe sin. When we are faced with adversity or our prayers aren’t being answered, it’s not because God is taking a break. He is waiting for His people to repent and to kneel before Him.
Passage: Isaiah 59:1-8
1. Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear.
2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.
1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
2. What is God’s message to you?
3. What do you need to obey?
4. What are you grateful for today?
