Before we met Jesus, we lived for sin, as a slave of this world.
We were slaves to vain things and living in vain, but Jesus took care of this on the cross. And he allowed us to live a new life in the Lord, and not live for the vain things we had enjoyed before.
Therefore, we must examine ourselves everyday. We must cut off sinful desires that grow like weed, in order to have a new heart everyday.
I hope that as we meditate on today’s Word, we can examine our hearts and become new in the Lord.
Passage: Romans 6:1-11
6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin-
7 because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.
