We often experience transformations in our lives and they can cause us pain, hurt, anxiety, etc. These emotions can reappear long after the changes and anchor us down.
Now, God orders us to “forget the former things; and to not dwell on the past.”
Our habit of thinking about the past and complaining about it will prevent us from leading a new life. In order for us to live a truely new life and receive God’s true grace, we must let go of the past and receive a new heart God is giving us.
Passage: Isaiah 43:14-28
18 “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.
19 See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
20 The wild animals honor me, the jackals and the owls, because I provide water in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland, to give drink to my people, my chosen,
21 the people I formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise.
1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
2. What is God’s message to you?
3. What do you need to obey?
4. What are you grateful for today?
