As Christians, ‘action’ is just as important as ‘belief’ in our faith, as they go hand in hand. If we confess ‘I love you, God’ but we in fact love our sinful lives, we need to reexamine our faith to see how genuine it is.
Jesus not only taught us to ‘teach the Word’ but to ‘teach so that they would follow it’. He wants us to have faith that leads to action, rather than one that stays in our minds.
Let us reexamine our ‘actions of faith’ in our lives today and focus on God more.
Passage: Deuteronomy 31:9-18
11 when all Israel comes to appear before the Lord your God at the place he will choose, you shall read this law before them in their hearing.
12 Assemble the people—men, women and children, and the foreigners residing in your towns—so they can listen and learn to fear the Lord your God and follow carefully all the words of this law.
1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
2. What is God’s message to you?
3. What do you need to obey?
4. What are you grateful for today?
