The world tells people that this world can give them an astonishing life. The world values people acquire may make their life seem to be successful. But a life without Jesus is corrupted, selfish and sinful. Such life is filled with worries, inferiority and fear. This world can not give us complete satisfaction nor joy.
Only Jesus can give us true satisfaction and peace in our hearts. The world mocks and persecutes us and tries to trample us down. I pray that we put our hope in Jesus Christ who has already overcome the world through the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross. In him, we may have true joy and peace.
Passage: John 16:25-33
31 “Do you now believe?” Jesus replied.
32 “A time is coming and in fact has come when you will be scattered, each to your own home. You will leave me all alone. Yet I am not alone, for my Father is with me.
33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
