Where is the evidence that we have received salvation?
Where is the evidence that ‘I am a christian’ or ‘I have received salvation’?
Jesus proves that He is the Son of God through three things. The first is through John’s testimony (acknowledgement by another person), the second is through what Jesus did (making miracles and showing his power), and the third is the words of God from the old testament.
Through this Jesus proved. However even after hearing His words, the Jews did not believe Jesus.
Then how will we prove that we will receive eternal life through believing in Jesus?
Are other people acknowledging and accepting us as Christians? Or is God working in our lives everyday? Are we living in faith?
I hope that God will be shown through us. What will we have to do for this to happen?
Passage: John 5:30-40
31 “If I testify about myself, my testimony is not true.
32 There is another who testifies in my favor, and I know that his testimony about me is true.
33 “You have sent to John and he has testified to the truth.
