In order to have salvation we need the God’s grace. The grace refers to ‘faith’. Today’s bible passage says, “For it is by grace you have been saved”. Thus, the condition of salvation is having ‘faith’. The ‘faith’ cannot be pursued by our own wills. The ‘faith’ can be achievable only by God’s grace. Further, the ‘faith’ cannot come from one’s assurance, nor from philosophy but from believing God’s word.
‘God’s disciple’ is faithful person. Therefore, ‘God’s disciple’ cannot easily stumble from any tolerable trials. It’s because the Lord is with his people.
<1 Timothy 6:11-12>
11 But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.
12 Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
Passage: Ephesians 2:8-13
8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—
9 not by works, so that no one can boast
1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
2. What is God’s message to you?
3. What do you need to obey?
4. What are you grateful for today?
