These were the people who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. These people did not worship idols in any situation but held onto the most valuable (Jesus).
They were ridiculed, persecuted and suffered while they were alive but those who endured to the end became the priests of God and of Christ and reigned with him for a thousand years.
I hope we can also experience the first resurrection. I hope we will be able to not let go of God’s hand in times of hardship but live life with faith.
Even though we might not be able to see what’s in front of us clearly, if we can restore the meaning of life and heart of gratitude, we will definitely be able to experience the first resurrection as well.

4 “I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.”
