Heaven is not an imaginary location, but actually a place which really exists. John sees a service in heaven through the doors of heaven which opened because the Holy Spirit was touched. He experiences the glory of God sitting on the throne of heaven.
Although John’s place of worship is the shabby island of Patmos, he is able to overcome all hardships and struggles after he experiences the service of the glory of Heaven.
Children of God who have received salvation experience God’s glory and presence through service and worship.
How is the service that we give to God? If our service is alive, we can live in grace and joy no matter what our situations are.

Passage: Revelations 4:1-11
1. After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.”
2. At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it.
