"Repent" means "to turn away immediately."
The church of Sardis had lost their passion from when they had first believed and was it a helpless state. They sinned against God. They needed to confess their sins and turn away immediately. However. they did not know any of this.
Likewise, we must look at ourselves and see if there is anything we are sinning and not repenting. If we are in the place of sin, I hope that we can wake up and move ourself to repentance.
Revelation 3:1-6
2. Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have found your deeds unfinished in the sight of my God.
3. Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.

2. What is the word you are giving to me?
3. What should I obey?
4. Write what you are thankful for
