There are a number people in the bible who are blessed after having served foreigners.
Some entertained angels without realising when they showed hospitality to foreigners, some escaped poverty. As such, God allowed special blessings upon those who looked after foreigners. This is because it is God’s will to care for the poor wanderers.
There are also people around us who are like foreigners. They are lonely because they are not welcome anywhere.
And God wants to serve and look after them.
Let us today look around ourselves and when we find someone wandering lonesomely like a foreigner, look after them with the love of Christ.
This is what makes God happy.
Passage: Leviticus 19:19-37
33 “‘When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them.
34 The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God.
1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
2. What is God’s message to you?
3. What do you need to obey?
4. What are you grateful for today?
