As God’s children, we call God our ‘father’, receive heaven as our inheritance, and fulfil God’s providence. Therefore, children of God must play their part and live as children of God. We must be set free from sin that has held us captive as slaves. If we remain slaves to sin, the grace that set us free becomes pointless. We mustn’t give up our privilege as the son of God and have victory in faith.
Passage: Galatians 4:1-11
6 Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.”
7 So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.
