Reflection
We need to fix our eyes on Jesus who is our Lord. Today God has invited all of us who believe in Him to the day of Sabbath. However, there will be those who will be able to enter God’s rest and those who cannot. Those who cannot enter are people like the Israelites who disobeyed God’s words, those who could not protect their faith and those who don’t abide in the Lord in their everyday life.
But the invitation is still valid for us who are living this day. We will be able to enter God’s rest with our faith in Christ Jesus.
What should we do today to receive the rest and the peace the Lord wants to give to us?
And what effort do we need to put to protect our faith in our life?
Let’s meditate on this together today.
Passage to read: Hebrews 4:11
9 There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; 10 for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. 11 Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience.
