Children show off their dads to their friends saying their dad is the strongest, the most powerful and the best dad in the world.
Let us reflect then, as children of God whether we too believe that our Lord the Father is the best, and depend on Him.
The heir of God, the one who sustains all things by His powerful word, the one who has cleansed me of my sins, the powerful Christ.
What more can we say of His greatness?
But we fail to experience the greatest Lord’s power in our lives. Why? Could it be because we don’t rely on or believe in Jesus’ power?
Let us try to do so today by setting our eyes on Jesus, the best.
Passage: Hebrews 1:1-4
1 In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.
3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.
4 So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.
