Before we were reborn, we followed the worldly lifestyles. Under the delusion of Satan, we often felt hatred, insults others, have sexual desires and seek for enjoyments. However, we realised that this way of life is a foolish lifestyle. Thus, the new way of life does not involve the righteous things we can accomplish but through the work of holy spirit and it’s guidance. This was able since we were born again in Christ and from living in holy spirit. From now on we can pray as follow; “Dear holy spirit let me honestly reflect on myself.” Further, while receiving God’s guidance everyday we can encounter the changes in our life.
Passage: Titus 3:1-15
1. Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good,
2. to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and always to be gentle toward everyone.
3. At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another.
4. But when the kindness and love of God our Saviour appeared,
5. he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,
1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
2. What is God’s message to you?
3. What do you need to obey?
4. What are you grateful for today?
