The women who loved Jesus went to His tomb very early in the morning even before sunrise. But Jesus was not inside the tomb and they were terrified and ran away. ‘The meaning of the empty tomb’ is evidence of Jesus’ resurrection. However I meditate on its meaning this morning on whether this may be our current spiritual state.
I confess with my lips, ‘I love Jesus’ but does He really live in me? Why do we feel empty, have fear and pain in our lives, and why do they make us fall?
Could it be because our hearts are like an ‘empty tomb’ without Jesus?!
The tomb undoubtedly proves Jesus’ resurrection, but today I take a moment to meditate on its other meaning- that it could very well be our spiritual state.
Passage: 16:1-8
5 As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed.
6 “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him.

2. What is God’s message to you?
3. What do you need to obey?
4. What are you grateful for today?
