Jesus came as the King and the Messiah to draw us to salvation. However, the people who didn’t accept this truth humiliated and mocked him and led him out to be crucified. They thought they’ve won against him but Jesus chose to save us and open to us the path to salvation by sacrificing himself.
Living as a Christian involves sacrifices and devotion and others may think we are fools to live in such a way. But what a joyful life would it be if we could lead God’s lost souls to salvation.
Jesus, Let your kingdom come wherever we are, in our workplaces, families, schools and in every relationship.
Passage Mark 15:16-23
17 They put a purple robe on him, then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on him.
18 And they began to call out to him, “Hail, king of the Jews!”
19 Again and again, they struck him on the head with a staff and spit on him. Falling on their knees, they paid homage to him.
20 And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple robe and put his own clothes on him. Then they led him out to crucify him.
1. Did you think of Jesus when you woke up this morning?
2. What is God’s message to you?
3. What do you need to obey?
4. What are you grateful for today?
