When faced with challenges and problems in life we must not flee but stay ‘with the Lord’ till the end. Let us not flee but stay by the Lord with faith till the end.
In today’s passage Jesus’ disciples ‘deserted Him and fled’ when they were faced with trouble.
But Jesus stayed put and did not run away in order to fulfill God’s will. And God led Him to victory on the cross.
If we want to live in victory every day, we must remember where we should be.
Even though everyone else may desert Jesus and flee, let us not.
Passage: Mark 14:43-52
49 Every day I was with you, teaching in the temple courts, and you did not arrest me. But the Scriptures must be fulfilled.”
50 Then everyone deserted him and fled.
51 A young man, wearing nothing but a linen garment, was following Jesus. When they seized him,
52 he fled naked, leaving his garment behind.
