When Jesus prophesised about Peter betraying him in front on his disciples, Peter denied this fact and assured Jesus that he will never betray him. However, Peter could not keep his promise.
To follow the LORD fully cannot be done through one's own commitment or will. We need the help of the Holy Spirit.
I hope that we are able to respond the Holy Spirit's voice who speaks to us today.
Mark 14: 22-31
30 “Truly I tell you,” Jesus answered, “today—yes, tonight—before the rooster crows twice[c] you yourself will disown me three times.”
31 But Peter insisted emphatically, “Even if I have to die with you, I will never disown you.” And all the others said the same.
Questions to think about:
1. Did I think about Jesus when I woke up this morning?
2. What is God telling me?
3. What do I need to be obedient with?
Write down your thankful prayer.
