There is a big difference between what disciples’ pursue and what Jesus pursues. All the disciples were interested in, was worldly glory. That is why they all wanted to be first. However, as Jesus’ disciples, we should follow Jesus instead of the world. We need to let go of our stubbornness and thoughts and follow the way Jesus serves.
I hope you can live out a life as one of Jesus’ disciple.
Passage to read: Mark 10:32-45
43 Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, 44 and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. 45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
