Jesus decided to put down all the ministry work he had done so far and focus just on training his disciples.
The life of a disciple, of a Christian, that Jesus taught us about was ‘service’.
This world teaches us to be first to ourselves and our children.
However Jesus taught us that we have to be last and that we have to be someone who serves in order to become ‘first’.
‘There is a secret in service.’ This is because there is salvation and God’s kingdom in service.
Please serve others.
Please teach service to others.
I hope we all become people who live a life of a disciple, following the path of Jesus.
Passage: Mark 9:30-37
34 But they kept quiet because on the way they had argued about who was the greatest.
35 Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, “Anyone who wants to be first must be the very last, and the servant of all.”
