“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith” (Hebrews 12:2)
Faith means having no fear. I believe that always being joyful, grateful, and the miracle of being able to love our enemies is faith.
In today’s passage, Jesus and His disciples are travelling in a boat when there is a strong wind. The disciples are afraid that the waves would drown them and wakes Jesus saying, “Jesus, we are about to drown.”
Jesus replies, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”
The disciples were still afraid despite being with Jesus.
If we believed that Jesus was always with us in our lives, why should we be afraid?
What would we have to worry about if our powerful God gave us strength and lifted us up?
If we believed that the Holy Spirit was within us, we would be able to always be joyful, grateful, and walk boldly.
Today, I look back to see if I have faith.
I look back to see if I am relying on God’s power and have faith in His power.
And today I pray for faith as small as a mustard seed.
‘My Lord that lives in me, thank you for being with me, powerful Lord.’
Passage: Mark 4:30-41
37 A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped
38 Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”
39 He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.
40 He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?”

3. What do you need to obey?
4. What are you grateful for today?
