Josiah became the king at the age of 8 and for his 31 years of reign he acted honestly in the eyes of the Lord. Particularly, Josiah cleanses Judah and Jerusalem by removing all idols. Today we have many idols in our life. Anything that stops you from serving God or loving him more is an idol. Hence in order to be faithful, we must destroy and remove all idols like King Josiah.
Passage to read: 2 Chronicles 34:1-13
2.!He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord and followed the ways of his father David, not turning aside to the right or to the left. In the eighth year of his reign, while he was still young, he began to seek the God of his father David.
3. In his twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem of high places, Asherah poles and idols.
