Jehoram’s father Jehoshaphat and his grandfather Asa were good kings in the eyes of the LORD. But the behaviours of Johoram was very disappointing. Not only did he kill his own younger brothers for the throne, he worshipped idols and did evil. The bible says that the reason for Johoram’s fall was because he had forsaken God. There is no future for those who forsake the LORD.
I hope that our lives worship God and is good in the eyes of the LORD.
2 Chronicle 21:1-10
8 In the time of Jehoram, Edom rebelled against Judah and set up its own king.
9.So Jehoram went there with his officers and all his chariots. The Edomites surrounded him and his chariot commanders, but he rose up and broke through by night.
10.To this day Edom has been in rebellion against Judah. Libnah revolted at the same time, because Jehoram had forsaken the Lord, the God of his ancestors.”
