Solomon's life of splendor ended forty years after he was crowned king. It was not 400 years, it was 40 years. How wonderful would it had been if the bible had recorded Solomon pleasing God and the people of the world with the wisdom God had given. It is important that we do not think that this life on earth is eternal and seek worldly power and blessing.
We must be able to live seeking the eternal heavenly hope.
Passage to read: 2 Chronicles 9:13-31
30 Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel forty years.
31 Then he rested with his ancestors and was buried in the city of David his father. And Rehoboam his son succeeded him as king.
Questions to think about:
1. Did I think about Jesus when I woke up this morning?
2. What is God telling me?
3. What do I need to be obedient with?
Write down your thankful prayer.
