Obedience and repentance in response to the priceless invitation of grace.
God said to the Israelites “Come, you all who are thirsty.” And Jesus says to us “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”(Matthew 11:28)
Ones life after the sins of Adam and Eve, is constantly faced with the continuum of hardship and suffering. And our power cannot overcome the power of death nor resolve our thirst in life. But Jesus is saying to us. “I will give you rest.” Restoration, questions about life, answer to pain and et cetera can only be resolved by Jesus.
Jesus is calling us today. He is calling us so He can give us rest. I hope your day will be filled with the grace of Jesus Christ as you become attentive to His voice.
Passage: Isaiah 55:1-13
1”Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. 2 Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and you will delight in the richest of fare.”
