Unshakable foundation (Matthew 7:24-25)
When earthquakes occur, all buildings with weak foundation shake and would eventually collapse. Family breakdown, diagnosed of incurable diseases, bankruptcy, difficult relationship... these kinds of life earthquakes which shake whole our lives bring enormous loss. A life that is unshakable must have a strong foundation. Today the reason for people and family is vulnerable to those kinds of earthquakes is because of weak foundation. What could be a rock-like foundation for unshakable life?
No matter how shaky the earth is, how bad our relationships and businesses are, we will not be shaken if we establish the foundation of life on the foundation of truth. However, if you had laid the foundation of something other than God in your life, that would not be able to hold you up when the earthquake of life occurs.
“in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
(Proverbs 3:6)
God is the foundation of all fields; marriage, family, business, finance and relationship. A life based on the words of God is not shaken. For those who listen and behave the words of God, are strong and their foundation is same as the rock.
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.” (Matthew 7:24-25)
