The cross is the wisdom of God who saves us sinners. To those who claim to be wise, the way of the cross is foolishness. But with humanly wisdom we can never know God or be saved by it. It is because the cross is not any theory or philosophy but is the best form of God’s love and power that saves sinners like us.
Passage: 1 Corinthians 1:18-25
18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.
