The Lord chose the way to die on the cross because of His love for us. The beloved followers of Christ have continued the history of martyrdom because of their love for Christ. The reason why they don’t spare their life is because love is stronger than death. The source of power for Christ followers to live in this world comes from His love. However, this love becomes a ridicule of the world when this love is not evident in our lives. Love is stronger than death
Passage: Song of Songs 8:1-14
6 Place me like a seal over your heart,
like a seal on your arm;
for love is as strong as death,
its jealousy unyielding as the grave.
It burns like blazing fire,
like a mighty flame.
7 Many waters cannot quench love;
rivers cannot sweep it away.
If one were to give
all the wealth of one’s house for love,
it would be utterly scorned.
