David’s army always won when they went to war. But today they experienced defeat to their enemies.
We want to live a victorious life everyday, but this is just our wishful thinking. Not everything goes in a way that favours us because we are believers of Jesus. There is always a chance of experiencing hardship and suffering.
However, this is when we are able to see the true base of our faith. Whether we are a person who truly trusts in the promise of God or a person that resents God and live like an unbeliever!
Those who believe in God are able to stand back up again in times of failure by trusting and seeking help from God.
I believe we will be able to experience God in our lives when we trust in the power of God.
Psalm 60:1-12

Who will bring me to the fortified city?
Who will lead me to Edom?

Is it not you, God, you who have now rejected us
and no longer go out with our armies?

Give us aid against the enemy,
for human help is worthless.

With God we will gain the victory,
and he will trample down our enemies.
