From Sunday 20 September 2026, the structure of the Children’s Church services will change. Until now, children’s and kindergarten services have been held at both the 1st service (9:10AM) and the 2nd service (11:30AM). After ongoing calls to combine them, we have now decided to do so.
There are several reasons for this decision. To give one example, most of the children attending the 1st service are the children of those who serve at the 2nd service, and these children were often left unattended during the very service in which their parents were serving.
So families attending the 1st service will now worship with their children in the sanctuary as an all-generation service, and the time formerly used for the 1st-service children’s service will be used for training such as children’s shepherd training and children’s Life Bible Study.
There may be some confusion at first. But this is something the Children’s Church has prayed over and prepared for a long time, seeking how best to raise up the next generation, so we will begin, gather your views, and keep adjusting as needed.
What concerned me most was that numbers might shift heavily to the 2nd service. But since the teachers who serve at the 2nd service and their children will now attend the 1st service, we expect no change in the current numbers at either service. However, as the 2nd-service children’s numbers grow, the Education Building will become crowded and there will be little room for class groups afterwards — a problem still to be solved. So we will run the Children’s Church in the Education Building first, take feedback, and if the space proves too small, consider moving the children’s service to the current Tree of Life Hall.
I ask all members to work together with one heart so that this combining of the Children’s Church goes smoothly.

The Three Cord Prayer Meeting continues this week. Nothing happens without prayer, but when we pray we will see God do amazing things. Come to the place of prayer and become a person of prayer who experiences its power.
