          • My thoughts on the Vision Centre

We have returned after completing our sabbatical month in grace. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who prayed for us and kept us in their hearts. During the not-so-short one month, I spent much of the time living out of two suitcases, constantly unpacking and repacking. During the month, I was deeply grateful for those who provided accommodation and those who served by giving rides.
Throughout this journey, my thoughts often turned to the lives of missionaries. During the conference for missionaries, more than one hundred missionaries had returned to their home country, and I realised that one of their greatest challenges was finding a place where they could stay comfortably and rest. Although some churches operate missionary guest houses, there is always strong competition for accommodation, and the length of stay is often limited. Many missionaries rely on the homes of family members or relatives, but even then, they may feel uncomfortable or hesitant to impose on others.
These experiences reminded me of a visit I made to Cambodia some years ago. I had the opportunity to stay at a “Mission Strategy Centre” established by the CMI mission organisation nearly one hundred years ago as part of its long-term mission strategy. It served not only as a place where missionaries could find rest while traveling to and from the mission field, but also as a place where they could meet one another, share their ministries, and receive encouragement. Even after many years, that centre continues to play an important role as a strategic hub for missions in Cambodia.
As I reflected on this, I began to think about the Vision Centre property that we are currently using as a parking lot. While the property was purchased in part to address the church’s facility needs, I also envisioned it becoming a place where visiting missionaries serving on the front lines of spiritual battle, as well as House Church pastors, shepherds and shepherds' wives, and church members who labour for the salvation of souls, could find physical and spiritual refreshment. I hoped it could function as a “House Church Training and Retreat Centre,” where people could come to rest, learn, and be encouraged.
I believe that if a “House Church Vision Centre” is established on this site, it will one day become a centre for House Church missions and evangelism. Let us pray together that God will bless our church and each one of you so that we may faithfully carry out this beautiful vision.

            Word of the week
We have returned after completing our sabbatical month well. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who served and prayed for the church during the pastor's sabbatical period.
