The 4th Sunday School Creation Science Camp (July 11–12)
The Sunday School Creation Science Camp is approaching. One of the most heartbreaking things about immigrant ministry in Australia is witnessing once-thriving churches gradually become empty and aged due to the absence of the next generation. There may be various reasons for this, but I believe the biggest cause is the lack of proper education in a biblical worldview that can faithfully pass down the faith to the next generation.
While our children learn about faith at church, they often face confusion at school due to conflicting worldviews—such as evolution or distorted perspectives on sexuality—that clash with biblical teachings. Responding to these differences with outright opposition or hostility can breed anti-Christian sentiment, so wisdom is needed. Nonetheless, the church must still take responsibility to instill a biblical and balanced worldview in the next generation.
Now in it’s the 4th year, the Sunday School Creation Science Camp is being prayerfully and faithfully prepared by our Sunday School teachers. This year’s camp is prepared not just by the teachers, but by the entire church to be involved. All registered church members are welcome to join as volunteers. (Please scan the QR code for detailed registration information.)
We ask that each house church invites VIP children to participate in the camp. During the camp, a café space will also be available for the parents of VIPs. The inviting house church should kindly explain the purpose and vision of the Creation Science Camp to the parents. What's important is to remember that the camp is not merely a two-day event on Friday and Saturday—it should naturally lead into continued connection with house church gatherings and Sunday worship through ongoing care and effort.
The Creation Science Camp has not only served as a valuable educational space for instilling a biblical worldview in children, but it has also borne fruit in helping VIP families become connected to house churches and Sunday services. We are also grateful that this camp has been introduced to other churches and is beginning to spread more broadly.
Word of the week
