          • Church, Vision Centre Parking Lot, and Temporary Container Buildings
Last week, we completed the drainage construction for the church parking lot and carried out expansion work on the Vision Centre parking lot. However, during the week, a city council officer visited the Vision Centre and asked if worship services were being held there. It appears that some neighbours may have felt uncomfortable after seeing the parking lot expansion. Please note that the Vision Centre has not yet been officially approved for church use. Although we need to obtain permits to use it for additional parking and as an educational facility due to the lack of space at the church, we are facing challenges due to limited knowledge and budget constraints. If anyone has information or is able to assist us in obtaining the necessary permits for using the Vision Centre for church education and parking purposes, please let us know.
In the meantime, for those using the Vision Centre and its parking lot, we ask that you continue to be mindful to avoid inconveniencing our neighbours. Please, park in an orderly manner. In particular, we were asked not to park in front of the two-story red brick house (No. 31) next to the Vision Centre, so we ask for your cooperation in respecting this request.
Last week, drainage work was also carried out on the church parking lot to resolve the issue of water pooling whenever it rains, and the lot was newly paved. Parking in the church lot on Sundays will be prioritised for seniors with mobility issues, families requiring special infant care, and first-time visitors. Others are kindly asked to check with the parking attendants for parking instructions.
If you need to park near the church, please be especially careful not to block any neighbours’ driveways. Also, after Friday evening youth house church meetings, some parents picking up their children have caused double parking and traffic congestion around the church. If there are no available pickup spots, please avoid double parking. Instead, park farther away and have your children walk over to meet you for pickup.
This coming week, construction will begin on installing a total of five temporary container buildings within the church grounds. These container buildings will primarily be used for children’s and youth education on Sundays. If you are able to assist with the installation of the containers, please contact Building Committee Chair, Shepherd Jacob Kim.

            Word of the week
Parking in a way that blocks neighbors' driveways around the church and Vision Centre continues to be an issue.
We kindly ask that you come a little earlier, park farther away from John Street, and walk over, even if it is inconvenient.
